British, post WW1, THE BUFFS Postcard

Post WW1 British Postcard. Studio, showing soldier wearing flat top peaked hat and High collar, light cotton material Summer dress tunic. The most interesting thing about this photo is the Cap Badge he is wearing. This is the King GEORGE V, shoulder badge, as worn by the Canadian, ROYAL CANADIAN REGIMENT. I have in the past seen photos of RCR members wearing this badge on thier Cap. Also of interest is the Sam Browne Cross strap with the whistle attached and holster visible. He is a WW1 vet as he is wearing the ribbon bar for the WW1 Trio. On the back are found the words, UNCLE CHARLIE 2ND BATT OF THE BUFF NOW, some marking in pencil at top, P??TEA 10097 ?? 12 SEP ??, not sure is this is related to this fellow or not.
