Queen Mary's Needlework Guild Great War Comforts of Care Medallion

A really interesting piece. Queen Mary in 1914 put the call out to the "Women of the Empire" asking for help "to alleviate all distress occasioned by the War". Brass medallion with enamel. 1914 bar attached to ribbon. Pin removed from the back.
